Raffaella Gregoris

Raffaella Gregoris is a woman, mother, entrepreneur, and in all aspects of her life, a disruptive innovator. Her passion for research brought her to study Pharmacy at University and to later pursue a Master's Degree in Cosmetic Chemistry. With all tools in hand, she immersed herself in the beauty world.

For over a decade she gained experience with traditional cosmetics, whilst always mulling on one constant thought: there must be a better way, a simpler way. To design a skincare line made only of clean, active ingredients. A safe and effective way to fight aging with no compromises.

After years of research and experience working for other laboratories where she found waste and marketing claims to be problematic, she paved the way for BAKEL to be born in 2008. Her commitment to ethical products that are both effective and minimize environmental impact are key to the brand and its success to date.

Since then, the brand under Rafaella’s leadership has won the WWD Beauty Biz Award (2009) , the Marie Claire Prix d’Excellence de la Beauté (2016) and the Innovation & Research Award 2022 in Cosmofarma, Italy.

In 2020 Forbes identified Raffaella Gregoris alongside 100 female leaders in Italy as a pioneering figure in beauty that continues to guide and inspire the industry through her unique talent and a strong commitment to product excellence and sustainability.
